ISW (Interactive Software) is a Romanian-owned technology company specialized in the development and integration of advanced C4I Systems for the Defense and Homeland Security sectors and Command and Control (C2) Software Applications. With over two decades of proven experience, ISW is a trusted provider of mission-critical software solutions that support operational decision-making, situational awareness, and interoperability across complex defense environments.
ISW is the developer and owner of the BC2A® (Battlespace Command and Control Application) Suite Software Platform, a comprehensive family of Command-and-Control solutions deployed within the Romanian Ministry of National Defense and Homeland Security structures.
In Romania ISW’s delivered BC2A® systems currently comprise over 4,000 operational workstations, deployed in multiple configurations across the Land Forces Staff, the Special Operations Forces Command, the Communications and Information Command, and the Joint Forces Command, as well as within multinational headquarters, including the Multinational Division South-East and the Multinational Corps South-East. These systems are operationally validated, NATO-interoperable, and designed to support modern, network-centric operations.
The BC2A®
BC2A® is a modular, scalable, and interoperable suite of turnkey Command and Control solutions, designed to cover all operational echelons—from individual dismounted soldiers and mobile platforms to headquarters and joint command centers. BC2A® Suite includes dedicated solutions for headquarters, vehicles, mobile platforms, commanders, and combatants, as well as a software development kit that enables integration and customization.
By automating command-and-control processes, BC2A® Suite enhances situational awareness, accelerates decision-making, and enables secure, real-time data exchange between operational levels. The systems powered by BC2A® are fully compliant with NATO and FMN standards and interoperates seamlessly with sensors, communication systems, unmanned platforms, and weapon systems, using NATO standardized data exchange mechanisms.
Recognizing that no two operations are alike, BC2A® Suite is engineered for adaptability. Its flexible architecture allows tailoring to specific mission profiles, force structures, and operational doctrines, ensuring that commanders and operators receive the right information at the right time.

ISW’s industrial capabilities are supported by over 1,000 square meters of dedicated workspaces and research and development laboratories, as well as a multidisciplinary team of more than 60 employees and collaborators with expertise in defense, software engineering, and systems integration.
