Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software QA Tester, you will work within the Quality Assurance team to validate C2 software applications in accordance with internal engineering and quality standards. Responsibilities include:
Creating and maintaining test documentation (test plans, procedures, reports, and defect logs)
Performing technical tasks such as installation, configuration, software testing, and technical support, both onsite and offsite
Estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities
Setting up test environments and supporting tools and simulations
Identifying, documenting, tracking, and ensuring timely resolution of defects
Reviewing requirements and design documents and providing actionable feedback
Developing detailed and structured test plans and test cases
Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts (when applicable)
Conducting thorough regression testing following fixes
Preparing operational and administrative manuals for validated functionalities
Providing technical support during end‑user training sessions
Requirements
Strong understanding of software testing principles (e.g., Black‑Box, Smoke, Regression)
Ability to create test plans, cases, and reports
Solid skills in bug isolation, reporting, and root cause analysis
Strong analytical ability and capacity to interpret complex documentation
Experience testing Windows desktop and web applications
Experience testing backend APIs using tools such as Postman or SOAP UI
Basic SQL Server installation and configuration knowledge
Knowledge of Windows OS and Active Directory (e.g., firewall rules via GPO)
Understanding of TCP/IP protocols
Ability to understand business and system requirements
Good written and spoken English
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with development, IT infrastructure, and business analysis teams
Availability to work at client sites for acceptance testing and support (up to 25%)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of software testing experience
Nice to Have
ISTQB certification
Interest in learning automation testing
Experience with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server
Familiarity with the military domain (an advantage, not a requirement)
